Regenerative and Healing Effects of Tri-peptide Collagen (CTP):

Collagen tripeptide (CTP) has several biological effects, such as improving dry skin, wound healing, and bone fracture recovery.

A scientific study focused on the anti-aging effects of CTP in a hairless mouse model. To evaluate the effects of CTP on UVB-induced skin wrinkles, hairless mice were exposed to UVB radiation with oral administration of CTP for 14 weeks. Compared to the untreated UVB control group, mice treated with CTP showed significantly reduced wrinkle formation, skin thickening, and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Skin hydration and hydroxyproline were increased in the CTP-treated group. Oral administration of CTP improved skin elasticity and reduced abnormal elastin fiber formation. Erythema was also reduced in the CTP-treated group. Overall, these findings strongly suggest that CTP has potential as an anti-photoaging agent.
